After almost 7 months of no-dining in at restaurants, Teppanya made us feel that the new norm isn't that much of a big deal- especially when they offered their anniv promo: the Unli-Madness.
We dined in a function room (good for 6-7pax, social distancing implemented). You get to choose your own appetizers! We got some kani salad, tuna tataki, gyoza, kani sashimi, chicken karaage and ebi tempura. Top two faves are gyoza and ebi tempura. Then a chef will be assigned to your room/table, to cook whatever you want in mind.
In the first 10-15 mins, it'll take up their showmanship then preparation of the food with their own style. First, was the chahan, which is Japanese for beef or chicken fried rice. They even made some egg arts along the way. It was surprisingly good (the chahan). Now, for some meat. The Angus Meat Platter is good for 3-4pax, and it's composed of Angus Striploin, Skirt Steak, Flank Steak and Beef Roll. Most of these are cooked in a flaming grill- not just for show, but it's part of the process. We chose medium rare, of course- and as expected, still has that premium quality taste and so delectable you won't be able to get enough.
We also had some Salmon and Squid Teppan. The way they cooked and seasoned the squid is what make my heart flutter! Then came along some premium makimono, Bristol Roll and Flambe Citrus Roll- which made us really REALLYYY full.
The Unlimited Madness promo is available daily for the whole month of October, starts at 1,088/pax (lunch rate) and minimum of 4 persons are allowed to dine in to avail this promo. Drinks and desserts are excluded. Leftover charge is 800+ so make sure to only order what you can eat!
Food is worth the price. First time to dine here and all I can say was exceptional experience. Food quality is superb, crews are attentive and friendly, not too much crowd. How I wish I can taste everything on the menu. 5 stars!
Superb!! Very friendly cooks and waiters. Very sulit for the price
The food was Amazing, we had a fantastic chef who was entertaining and very good at what he cooked, would recommend this restaurant if you are wanting to impress and have an entertaining meal

Good service and great food worthy for its price
The only thing my family and friends tried was the teppanyaki side (they also serve traditional Japanese cuisine), which was so good! We had chicken, fish, shrimp, and steak all grilled to perfection mixed with a generous portion of vegetables and seasoned with their secret sauce. 10/10 would go here again!
All the staff were polite and very attentive. One of the waiters made sure my hot tea was always refilled. The chef who cooked at our table was very cheerful. Food is without a doubt delicious. Their great food and great service certainly made our dinner an enjoyable experience.
Great teppanyaki grill resto. All ingredients were fresh, must try their chahan, steak, and prawns in butter. Dessert choices were all tasty too. Service needs improvement though, hard to call for service. Good value.
Dining at Teppanya is much more than an exercise in the fulfillment of the basic human need of nourishment, it is the state of getting entertained while thoroughly getting satisfied with that nourishment. Teppanya is what happens when Nobu and Vince McMahon decide to have a love child. It is a multi sensory experience, that brings together the flavor of the food, the blaze of the flame rising from the griddle and the clank of the spatula as it meets the hot griddle, These bits of sensory information sums up into this unique culinary novelty experience.
I was fortunate to experience this myself when I got invited to dine at Teppanya. Being that this is a restaurant review I will admit that I found it extremely difficult to rank this dishes that I have tasted and come up with a short list, so here goes nothing:
1.) Wagyu Roll Aburri with Gold - Yes, this has edible gold in it, as if Wagyu beef weren’t expensive enough. This roll is what fine Japanese cuisine is all about, straight to the point yet incredibly indulgent, the Wagyu and Japanese rice just melts in a goo of umami in your mouth.
2.) Boston Lobster Tail Teppanya - Bathed In Dashi Bisque, which brought out hints of the sea out of the tender lobster flesh, this is Lobster jacked up by its own steroids (without the unintended side effects). Its like the sea gushing inside your mouth.
3.) Brazilian Tenderloin - Grilled medium rare, the juicy and tender meat is best consumed with a simple dash of salt and pepper.
4.) A5 Wagyu - I don’t think I need to explain further why this sits at the top of my list. One bite of the highly marbled meat is enough to hi-jack your senses for a few seconds.
TEPPANYA
2nd Flr, Evia Lifestylecenter,
Daang Hari Road, Almanza, Las Pinas City
This Japanese restaurant serve variety of dishes; from yummy appetizers, sushi, salad, soup, ramen to A5 Wagyu, lobsters, oyster and even Korean dishes.
You can also enjoy premium set meals for that wonderful experience of seeing how they cook the food on a Teppan, the Metal Griddle.
Aside from the warm greeting from the staffs, the place looks warm and so inviting. The smell of the fresh ingredients being cooked on a metal plate made me more hungry and felt so lucky to be in this fabulous restaurant.
THE FOOD:
SQUID NIGIRI 4/5
The fusion of balanced flavors of squid, wasabi and other spices made this appetizer a awesome starter.
WAGYU ABURI with GOLD 5/5
Hmmm sounds amazing right? Knowing that there's Gold on your food is something different from your everyday life. The flamed wagyu strip is tender and juicy thus making it perfect with the other ingredients.
MARINATED GINDARA 4/5
White fish fillet marinated with white miso. Cooked on metal plate and covered for some time for that smoky flavor. Drizzle with some lemon and its perfect.
BOSTON LOBSTER TEPPAN 4/5
with dashi bisque that added more flavor to the soft lobster meat. Together with shiitake mushroom and some veggies this luxurious dish is a must try.
WAGYU BITS FRIED RICE 4/5
This fried rice is something to look forward to, with spices and wagyu bits it can already be consumed alone.
BRAZILLIAN TENDERLOIN 5/5
Cooked medium rare on a metal plate, this tender and juicy meat gave me a wow factor; together with some sauce or just that salt and pepper dry dip makes this meat so awesome.
WAGYU A5 5/5
Like the Brazillian tenderloin, this meat is the premium amongst the premium. The meat especially the fat melts in your mouth; together with the fried garlic, salt and pepper tasting this was an amazing food experience!
BANANA FLAMBE 4/5
This dessert is of course made of banana with vanilla ice cream which is flamed and then drizzles with chocolate syrup and some more sweet toppings for a more enjoyable dessert experience.

Did you ever watch Beverly Hills Ninja? It’s one of those slapstick movies in the 90s starring the late Chris Farley. I really enjoyed it as a kid. One of the scenes that made a mark to me was when Chris’s character was pretending to be a Hibachi Chef. It was so funny and hilarious! It made me wonder when I’ll ever get to witness such a cooking show. Forward to the present, I was finally able to witness such without the comedic antics of course. 🙂
One of the places that I've wanted to eat at in Evia is Teppanya. It took a couple of years but I finally got to try it out last week with M.
Teppanya has been in Evia since it opened a couple of years ago. This proves that Teppanya has a strong following who patronizes them. For me, that is always a good indication that a restaurant is good.
Now we were lucky enough to have the chef cook us something that was off the menu such as this sushi that was made of black rice with cuttlefish. What surprised me the most about this was that it actually had wasabi in the middle which actually complemented the entire thing.
I normally hate wasabi but with this dish, it was heaven!
This was the wagyu roll. I'm not sure if I got the name right because I was too busy savoring the taste of the meat and the tenderness of it. Even my Mom will approve of this dish and that's high praise when it comes from her.
Their fried rice was also really good ... good in a way that I could have eaten 2 big bowls all by myself.
Now this dish was definitely something that I have not seen presented this way. This Boston Lobster Tail with Dashi was actually quite a surprise. I think that it may be the dashi sauce but it definitely delivered a kick.
As for the Brazilian Tenderloin, I had mine medium well and I just loved every single one of it. It was tender, tasty, and had absolutely no blood.
M and I enjoyed this lunch. Initially I thought that I wouldn't be full but I went home with a smile on my face because I was so full. It is definitely worth a visit.
The thing that I loved most was the price was not outrageous. It's not cheap but you are also not being held at gunpoint when it comes to paying the bill. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Teppanya for families celebrating something and couples who may want to splurge from time to time.
Today I’m blessed to be able to check out this restaurant in Evia called TEPPANYA! It’s at the second floor of the mall, together with the rest of the restaurants like Friday’s, Mama Lous, etc. It was so far away from my place because I’m from Mandaluyong, but it was absolutely worth the travel!

I heard that Teppanya serves really great Japanese food. So, I braved the traffic in the metro and traveled all the way to south just try out Teppanya.
During our visit we sampled their new sushi rolls (that's not yet in their menu) and some of their bestselling dishes too.
We had the Wagyu Aburi, Squid Nigiri, Gindara (Cod Fish), Boston Lobster tail, Brazilian Tenderloin, A5 Wagyu Steak and Banana Flambe.
My top faves among the ones we had are the Wagyu Aburi which has truffle and gold flakes by the way. The Brazillian Tenderloin and the A5 Wagyu steak which was tender and super juicy.
Overall, I can say that my travel from QC to Las Pinas was really worth it. Can't wait to be back here with the Fam.
Over the weekend I had a chance to get a little taste of what I consider a place out of my element lol. I mean...did you know that wagyu has grades?! Sorry if that comes off as ignorant but I digress
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We were first served some 'off-the-menu' Sushi (pics 5-6) that exhibits Teppanya's penchant for creating food items that think outside the box. Wagyu Aburi and Squid Nigiri. Very flavorful and balanced. There were gold flakes on top of the wagyu... I mean what?!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The HIGHLIGHT of course is their teppanyaki, where they cook your food on a giant iron plate in front of you. We were served: Gindara/Cod Fish (Pic 3), Boston Lobster Tail (Pic 1), Brazilian Tenderloin (Pic 4) and A5 WAGYUUUU (Pic 2).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Believe it or not, the Gindara was the dish that was most impressive to me (and no, not cause I'm kuripot and it's the cheapest). It was so full of flavor! The Brazilian Tenderloin was marinated in a butter sauce and was mouth watering. The lobster tail was creamy as heck. And the Wagyu (A5 is the HIGHEST GRADE validictorian of Wagyu) was a fatty slice of heaven. All this topped off with a banana flambe (also cooked on the skillet, Pic. 7)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For all the SOUTH peeps, you're nearby lang. Teppanya is in Evia mall far from the civilization that I'm used to. There are trees around the mall hahaha. Let me just say it outright. This place is pricey AF. Not out of this stratosphere levels, but this is where you will bring that new client you want to close, or that hot babe you're trying to get to third base with (jk).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thanka to the Zomato team and sir @lau_guinto_ii for the invite. Don't forget to use their app (and get Zomato Gold! It's just economically wise) when looking to fulfill that next food craving
Entertaining to say the least but more importantly, surprisingly affordable. We tried the Premium Set (Php365 for 5 courses) and everything we picked we're great! Winning dishes fornus though were: Usuyaki Beef, Stir-fry veggies (fries in lots of butter!) and the Banana Flambè. We also got the Emperor's Chahan which was a meal in and of itself! You get the chef not just cooking but entertaining you as well so that's not a bad deal at all!
Dining out continues to evolve with time. Today, it has become a full-on activity, more than just a necessity. Teppanya delivers a unique experience to its customers, with an interactive, on the spot teppanyaki show.
This Japanese restaurant goes beyond just cooking your food; they also give you entertainment and some trivia tidbits on your orders.
I was invited here a couple of days ago with an intimate late lunch with other Zomato users. It was far from home but well worth my time as I enjoyed every dish Teppanya offered us.
We started with Aburi or flamed-seared sushi. It’s glazing your fish or meats before they are served to you. I loved the Wagyu and Squid versions, fresh and of high quality.
Next was a seafood duo plate of Gindara (Cod Fish) and imported Boston Lobster Tail. The former was a melt in your mouth sensation, wishing I had more of that. The lobsters were as impressive, delicious in every bite.
The last set was most memorable for all of us! Our group got two Teppanya premium slices of meat. First was chunky yet still very tender, Brazilian Tenderloin. The second was extra premium, really juicy, A5 Wagyu Steak (200 grams at Php 2,988). It was so savory with a seasoning combination of butter, soy, and pepper.
The dessert marked a beautiful ending to our visit to Teppanya. Banana Flambe at Php 198 only is a must order. It’s a sweet treat that comes with flames and wonders.
If you’re near the north, this brand has a store as well in SM North Edsa. I’ll be likely to go back to that location instead since it’s nearer to me. See you there?
Food was great. Very well cooked dishes that are made right in front of you. Highly recommended for those who wants to try a different dining experience.
If you are in for an extraordinary dining experience, Teppanya is the place to be. You get to be seated around the chef’s station where you could watch the chef cook your food and even perform tricks. :)
We ordered the 5 course starter meal and boy, we were so full! Everything was deliciously made by the skillful and friendly chef.
Here your tummy and eyes are in for a feast. We are definitely coming back!
The food were all really good and they had excellent servic, but their shrimp wasn't fresh at all as it caused 4 out of 5 of us to go to bathroom after our meal and was further proven correct when we took home the leftover shrimp and had the same thing happen to our uncle.
Busy place had to wait for a couple of minutes to be seated but I can say it was worth the wait. It was nice to see your food being prepared right in front of you plus the chefs antics while cooking made the moment enjoyable.
Had such a great time here! Tip though, don’t go when you’re extremely hungry! Since it’s teppanyaki, you have to wait for your food to be cooked in front of you. Nonetheless, the whole thing was very entertaining! Plus! They’re on Zomato Gold! Win!
The squid is the best! I would have rated 5/5 stars if it weren’t for the inattentive server we had. We had to follow up our orders for a couple of times before he’d actually serve them.
My love for Japanese food is never ending and this restaurant has met my expectation. Their salmon roll is very tender. Taking a piece of it exudes great flavors already. The cucumber in it also helped balance the flavor.
Diners are seated around the chef's station. You'll surely won't get bored while waiting for your food to be served as the chef cooks the food (selected menu only) and does tricks at the same time. Cozy ambiance is a plus. Our overall experience from this restaurant is amazing even though we stayed only for a short time. Will definitely come back to try other menu :)
We had a very good dining experience that the whole family enjoyed. We ordered starter set good for 6 pax. The price is worth the meal. We left the restaurant with a full tummy and a full smile.
Went there before closing time and the chef is still active and fun went to entertain the customers very well. The food serving is just right nothing too expensive, but really worth your money.
Entertaining is the best word that I could give to this place!
Its really amusing to see the chef cook your food in front of you with their techniques and flaming grillers you’ll definitely pick those items which will both serve as an entertainment for your eyes and belly.
Ill rate the overall experience 4 but for the food maybe 3.5 :)
4.5
This is the total opposite of its sister company (Butcher and Sons) in terms of set up. It’s informal in a way that diners are seated around the chef’s station where dishes are prepared. So either you’ll be chatting with fellow diners right in front of you or the one seated next to you or you’d be stoically be sitting there just minding your own business 😆, not looking anywhere except your plate and chef.
Chefs are all interesting, you’ll be treated with some of their exceptional skills as they cook 👏🏻.
Every dish we ordered was delectable. Our chef (I’m referring to you Chef Monsour) definitely deserved to be called a chef, he knew how to treat and handle the meat and the fish dishes, that we still get to appreciate the freshness of the ingredients was a fete. I love the fried rice, in fact I could just go there and order that and that would be more than enough 😆👌🏻👌🏻😋😋. I watched him prepare it and tried to replicate at home but it was a disaster.
The staff were attentive and courteous. The service was prompt...
Except when we asked to be billed out, it took them ages to get into it.
Amazing experience! I love the service and the food, though a bit oily for me, but they're all delicious! The chefs cook the food (selected menu) in front of you and while cooking, they do tricks which are entertaining so you won't feel the wait. The food is fairly priced so it's a super plus! Very well recommended! (Sorry I was so amazed I forgot to take pictures 🤣)
It was a bad decision to eat here.... When we were full from a whole day of eating! Next time, we must be better prepared - that is, hungry - so we can sample and enjoy the wide variety of dishes - cooked in your face!
As usual, we had a great time in Teppanya. Food was great, and Chef Chris was awesome (he was very generous giving us garlic chips and the black pepper/salt concoction my daughter loves!) They, however, forgot our additional order of ebi tempura, but they acknowledged and made up for it accordingly.

Love the food, great service! Been here a couple of times and will keep coming back. Price is good for the quality of food. Highly recommended!
I have always wanted to dine here and it took me a while to actually do, but they did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the food, the experience, and the staff was really friendly. Would also like to commend the manager for being considerate when we accidentally unlocked the wrong branch on Zomato Gold. My experience was perfect!
The food prep is pretty good! Chef’s are nice (the ones who cooked for us at least). Price range is just about right. My only concern was the floor was constantly slippery, probably from all the cooking. I also noticed that the service staff is rather clumsy and absent minded.
We love the food. Cooking literally is an art in Teppanya. The place could easily be filled with smoke so expect to get the odor of food and grill linger in your clothes.
Great food! Chef was very entertaining. Tried the steak, tempura, various makis and miso soup. Great times! The Zomato 1+1 deal was super worth it!
Love this restaurant! Ate here twice this month. Food was great. I got the 5 Premium Starter Set (grilled eggplant with bonito flakes, usuyaki beef, miso soup, gohan and banana flambé with tempura flakes), the Angus Prime Ribeye (medium rare...chef got this on point!👌🏻), Foie Gras with Apple Reduction Sauce, Chicken Teriyaki, Nigiri Platter, Green Dragon Roll and Salmon Bristol Roll. Everything was delish! The place is packed during weekends, so better have a reservation. Coz we waited for 2 hours to be seated 😐 Waiting time aside, this is a great restaurant that’s why I still gave it 5stars 😊 Also, we got a huge discount thanks to Zomato Gold which is so awesome!!!
Very nice fine dining restaurant. Yes kinda of pricey, but you can find good one on their menu with low price. Offers variety of foods from fish to meat, if you are vegan they have salad and vegetables. Staff and chiefs were all good to their customers. Very tasteful, serving of foods was not that generous, just in a big plate.
Great food selection! Best to have a reservation so that you do not have to wait long. Waited around 45 minutes to be seated. Watching the food get cooked in front of you is entertaining. Will definitely go back!

Expensive but reasonable, friendly staff and a lovely place to eat. I forgot what I ordered but if ever I would love to ce back to this place. It is a must try especially when you ate celebrating something this is the place to be.
Highly recommended. Really great teppanyaki restaurant, that offers quality food for the right price.
Enjoy the show while your chef demonstrates his teppanyaki skills as he cooks your meal for you. The beef we ordered (Tenderloin 300g) was cooked to our preference, medium rare, and was very soft and tasty.
While this is a teppanyaki restaurant, their maki / sashimi offerings are nice as well. Make sure to order some as starters or to go along with your teppanyaki orders.
Zomato gold is a plus!
So so food but we didn’t order the meat so it’s expected that it might not be the best in their menu. On the positive side, they had friendly, attentive and accomodating staff.
We came here on a Sunday lunch.
We ordered:
- chahan
- tuna
- chicken
- beef tenderloin
- soft-shell crab maki
Everything tasted great, especially the beef tenderloin. My only comment is that the chahan itself is already quite tasty, and maybe not good to be paired with the steak items.
Service could be better. The waiters are not that attentive. The chef though is as always, a delight to watch.
Love the place. Staff is friendly & welcoming. The kids enjoyed the chefs exhibitions (which differ each chef). Recommend the 5 course sets and for ala carte: the karaage & the usuyaki beef are the best!!!
One of our favorite restaurant! Always a pleasure dining here. Food is excellent as always. The chefs and staff are all friendly and courteous.
The food, the place and the service of the staffs are just so awesome. We got more than what we paid for. A really great bang for the buck..
Good food and quality service! They even entertain you as they cook the dishes in front of you. One of my favorite restos in the South. Recommended!
Great place to have a Teppan experience (I daresay better than Beni Hana). Just tell your chef if you want less salt or soy sauce coz it can be a bit salty if you let them go mad at seasoning your food.
Maki menu isn’t topnotch though. But do try the rest of the menu!
Would recommend the salmon tataki! The cooking show was quite entertaining and the ambience was nice. The serving for ramen was large enough for two people (for those who get full easily). Food is worth the price! Would probably come back here 🙌🏻
I would eat here again. Presentation is awesome. The cooks cook the food in front of you.
Aircon us a bit cold so bring a jacket.
Wish I could give more stars
the food is good and ambiance is good. will definitely come back again here . the staff is friendly , and its cool when they cook the food in front of you
As a true southie by heart, one would know Evia is one of the places you should visit when you want to eat good food. I had the chance to try Teppanya with friends and the dining experience was one for the books. The servers, especially the chef was so entertaining, we didn't mind waiting for the food to be cooked.
FOOD - 5/5
The steak and the seafood was superb! It's not everyday you get to eat something that's wrapped in seaweed from Japan an salt! 👌
AMBIENCE- 4/5
If I didn't see the rooms upstairs I would say the place was a bit small, but hey! More rooms on their second floor that you could rent for meetings!
PRICE - 4/5
Price is a bit steep but one good thing about Teppanya is that they have other options that are budget friendly!
SERVICE - 6/5
Honestly, one thing that makes me go back to restos are the servers. Our chef was so entertaining, the servers are attentive as well.
Overall, Teppanya is a place you should consider when you have special gatherings coming up! May your dining experience be one for the books too!
xx
The Introvert Southie
Quality of the food was great! Ramen was tasty. We ordered the Gyudon and Katsudon and the Gyudon was definitely a winner. We highly recommend this Japanese restaurant in Evia and we will definitely come back.
I was very unassuming walking into the restaurant which has very nice interiors, the private rooms were posh and really elegant. The private chef inthe tepanyaki table started cooking and one by one like magic the dishes started to come. My favorites were the marbled steak, the giant oysters, the salted saeabass, And the assorted sushi
This is definitely one for the books. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends and would really bring my family here to dine.
I am always amazed with these restaurants that has the Teppanya concept. So one time, I got an invitation to eat with friends here at Teppanya, and who am I not to accept it? I can afford a steak but probably, I will eat out with a friend so that the price is not that heavy.
Ambiance - 3.0/5.0
The place looks a bit crowded not because of many people but because of the arrangement of the tables and chairs. Also, the place is a bit dark.
Service - 5.0/5.0
The service is really excellent. Especially the ones who cooks at the Teppan. The Chef assigned to us was Chef Chris and he really made sure that we will be entertained and whenever he cooks our orders, I honestly felt like I am in a cooking show.
Food - 5.0/5.0
We had the Emperor Set and it contains the following:
- Six Premium Five Course Starter Set
- 300g A3 Wagyu Beef
- 6 pieces Salt Crust Oyster
- 450g Sea Bass
- 6 pieces Imported Scallops with Foie Gras
- 3 pieces King Prawns
And to be honest, I could recommend it to those people who wants a different dining experience. And to those who want quality food as well because their ingredients are all authentic and you really get what you pay for.
Teppanya is the only one in the South that serves Premium Wagyu Beef located in Evia Mall Alabang.
From the outside, you may think that it’s just a typical Japanese restaurant cause of its small facade with a big signage. I was surprised when I stepped inside cause they offer private dining area that aesthetically designed based ofcourse on a Japanese theme.
About the food, first served on the table was the Nigiri Sushi, freshly sliced seafood arranged beautifully. It’s very savory and tasted fresh. I could have eaten five servings of it 😋. We also had Emperor set good for six persons which include:
Six Premium Five Course Starter Set
300 grams A3 Wagyu Beef
6 pieces Salt Crust Oyster
450grams Sea Bass
6 pieces Imported Scallops with Foie Gras
3 pieces King Prawns
It’s my first time to eat Foie Gras and it tastes surprisingly good. At first, I was hesitant to try it cause it looked like the most disgusting thing ever but sometimes you have to trust the Chef. Everything was oh so delicious.
For those who are looking for something filling and satisfying to share with, You may have Rice bowl. They also serve Korean Rice topped with veggies but I recommend to try Chahan.
You can really taste the high quality of their food.
In fact, I think this is the best Japnese Restaurant I’ve had. Will definitely recommend this to friends and relatives.
Big Thank you to the Chef for the amazing food!
The staff and the chef were polite and fun to talk to. We ordered the Premium 5 Course Starter set with Sukiyaki Cut as per their recommendation. Some of the note worthy dishes were the ones that were prepared on the spot such as the Usuyaki beef, Chahan rice and the Banana flambé coated with tempura flakes topped with ice cream. It was a great experience and we're planning on dinning there again in the future.
Staff are friendly, entertaining and accommodating. The food is good and the ambiance makes the dining experience even more worth while. Good job, Teppanya!
My family and I ate here to spend Father’s day over lunch. The crew accomodated us after an hour of waiting. Pro tip: They don’t have reservation options during special occassions so you have to be there early because they’re on “first come, first seved” basis.
Food/presentation/chef: 5/5
The chef was friendly! He even let us do some of his cooking tricks (like egg catching). The food is also good and picture/video worthy (for the cooking exhibitions). Serving is big.
Great for family occassions because they have function rooms (second floor) for larger groups (we’re a family of 12 with 2 kids). They also acknowledge senior citizen ID for discounts!
All in all, well recommended!

It was great, i love everything there, the waitress was nice, i recommend this place i 'll go back there to eat again with my family, Thank You
I really had a wonderful dining experience at Teppanya. Not only that the food was spectacular but because of the customer service and cleanliness, too. They do have an entertainment as well where in they will cook the food in front of you. We were lucky that one of the head Chef was there to cook for us. Chef Cris has been in the industry for more than 20 years. He cooked the food right in front of our eyes with all that performances and side jokes which made us all very entertained.
This is one of my favorite japanese restaurants. We always order their Usuyaki Beef, it’s sooo delicious!😋 highly recommended. I’ll keep coming back here that’s for sure. 😉
I love Japanese food. And since I have not been to Japan, I can say this is the next best thing. The food was great, and the place, nice and cozy. We will definitely be back.
My family and I love this place! Food was good, servers are attentive and the chef performers are simply awesome! We’ve been coming back to this place to celebrate birthdays and school milestones and my kids love it!
I especially love the Japanese oysters and prawns— paired with the fried rice — oohlala! Not a meat eater anymore but my mom and son both loved the steak— saying it was both tender and very flavourful!
Come not just for your hunger but also for the entertainment in store— always a winner!
Been wondering what all the fuss was about so I took the kids for dinner last weekend. No regular tables here. Each patron is given the privilege to watch his dinner cooked right there. Good thing we arrived early. A few minutes later and we would've been on the wait list. We had Salmon Tataki- lightly torched salmon roll with scallions and yuzu sauce. Yummy with just the right amount of kick. Perfect thing to start our meal with; Chicken Terriyaki- a staple for my kids. Serving size did not make me happy but tastewise, this was good; Uzuyaki Beef- paper thin strips of beef wrapped around enoki mushrooms , topped with crispy garlic slivers. Melts in your mouth! Salmon tempura roll- we've had better; Tempura- not anything to write home about; Chadolbaegi- beef belly grilled the Korean way, served with assorted side dishes. Their kimchi is delicious, by the way. It was fun to watch the teppan chefs trying to outdo each other while preparing our gastronomical treats. Prices are alright on the average, but watch out! One may get too caught up in the chefs' magic and end up ordering more than usual. Great place! Definitely up there in my book, along with Mama Lou's😊👍
I have always wanted to try this place because I love Teppanyaki! Got a 50% off deal, They have a good quality of sashimis, maki and sushi. Get the Beef tenderloin and chix its really tender, well seasoned skip the pork. Service was fast. This will be our go to jap place in Alabang. Price is reasonable considering the quality.
Delish food. Courteous and friendly staff. Nice ambiance. Entertaining chefs. What more could you ask for? Price is a little steep, but worth it, though.
Tried out Teppanya for my mom’s birthday dinner. Reminds me of Benihana. Ordered A4-5 wagyu and Japanese scallops. It was amazing. The chef who cooked in our station was very entertaining, unlike the others.
The food is great and the place is really nice and cozy 😊. We will visit again with my family. The cook or may i say chefs are all smiling and polite.
Oooh thank you Teppanya for making my Birthday so special. We had the pleasure of having Chef Alvin cook for us during our stay. We enjoyed his company and showmanship. He kept the atmosphere fun and made jokes which made the whole experience a notch higher. We ordered a number of teppanyaki dishes which kept Chef Alvin busy cooking. We tried the Rib Eye, Bacon Cut Pork, Chicken thigh fillet, White Shrimps and Tuna. All paired with vegetables and fried rice. We ordered the Shrimp Tempura which is the least favorite and California Roll. We were a group of four and we had the restaurant all to ourselves which made it more intimate.
Teppanya: this means iron griddle or plate. Sound interesting, right? But that doesn't stop there. Teppanya has been a well-known Japanese restaurant in the metro, along with its entertainment offerings.
Upon entry, I was welcomed with warm smiles as they ushered me to my seat. I just love every bit of detail in this restaurant. It feels homey while preserving its first-class vibe. The place itself boasts elegance.
We had the Premium Set and I can say that the food exceeded my expectations.
Grade A4 Steak: I just love the glistening fat in this one! The outside texture of the meat was so inviting. And the insides of the meat was so soft and chewy. You can feel the juice play with you palate.
Clam Soup: im not a fan of seafood but this made me want some. I love the soup as it wasnt too strong for my taste. It was flavorful nonetheless.
Sukiyaki Roll: one of my personal favorites! It was heaven in my mouth! The sauce was tangy but so riveting to the tongue. The textures in the rolls were so inviting i wont hesitate in asking for more!
There was nothing to complain about the food. I just hope that the chefs were more open to criticisms. The chef assigned to us were doing fine. It would be better if he smiled more and engaged with the diners in front of him. Other than this, Teppanya is a must-try for everyone.
Food: really good.
Price: just about right for the quality
Staff / crew: very attentive
Superb quality of food and service. Wide variety of selections. Really fresh seafood and amazing cuts of meat. The taste was also authentic.
Will defintely come back and recommend this.
Awesome Japanese place! Love their food! We ordered their set meal (worth P5000 - good for 5-6 persons) and even though it was quite pricey you can customize your set meals and pick the food that really suits you taste. They also have very accommodating and friendly staff (and chef). They helped us in picking the most sulit and worth it dishes. Food presentation/ entertainment is also amazing! They made the food more interesting!
So far, they also have the best california maki i’ve tried so far! I also really recommend their banana tempura flambé dessert (not the correct name sorry i forgot). I will definitely go back to this place!
Menu is a bit pricy but it's all worth it! They have friendly staff and they are very entertaining! We went here last January 1. Super nag enjoy and busog!
We stopped by for my brothers birthday. We booked a room so we had a set of the teppanyaki table for our group. We had two table with two teppanyaki chefs preparing the set menu. The meal was both entertaining and delicious. They even added a few extra flares for the kids.
At one point we even got an opportunity to try the tricks like rolling and cracking an egg on the teppan.
Tasty and delicious food and the price wasn't too bad.
It’s my first time to write a review here on Zomato but I felt that it’s a must to rate Teppanya, Evia branch.
The food is really great with really good price as well (5-course meal was sulit). I love the experience of having dinner with family while being entertained by talented chefs like Chef Dada. Other customers looked like they were enjoying as well. Moreover, the servers were friendly and had initiative which is very good for me. I totally recommend this place 💯.
This is my first time eating in teppanya in evia alabang, i didnt expect that ill be able to eat here, they served us their premium set which has most of their best sellers. It has angus prime rib-eye, salmon, king prawns imported scallops and lastly an ebi tempura, they also served us the most infamous wagyu beef which was to look forward to.
Friendly staff, fast service, yummy food, fresh ingredients. The chef also did tricks while he was cooking our food ^^ Great experience dining here, i recommend everyone to give it a try!
Once you go inside the establishments you'll see several communal tables with chairs surrounding it. We were directed to their function room that can fit 12-14 customers. This Teppanyaki style originated in Japan where skilled chefs captivate guests with their culinary skills.
Teppanya prides on providing excellent quality ingredients in their restaurant. We were able to witness it in their dishes.
We started off with Green Dragon Roll (8 pcs - Php 595). Delicious roll with beef strips and veggies.
SASHIMI
Maguro (Php 295) or Tuna
Hata (Php 305) or Yellowtail is by far among the 3 sashimi. It melts in mouth and tastes light too.
Shake (Php 295) or Salmon
They offer several sets that can cater to various group size. We got to try their PREMIUM SET (Php 9,995). These were cooked right in front of us by a chef doing tricks to entertain the guests and enjoy the food in a different level.
Six Premium Five Course Starter
400g Angus Prime Rib-eye
300g Salmon
6 pieces King Prawns
12 pieces Imported Scallops
6 pieces Ebi Tempura
Although the chef overcooked the rib-eye and king prawn which was a bit disappointing since they have excellent quality when it comes to their ingredients. Maybe it's just the chef we had at that time.
Overall I still enjoyed our visit at this restaurant. Hopefully they'll be able to make use of the ingredients wisely.
There’s no need to fly to Japan or wake up at the break of dawn to get ahead of the crowd at Tsujiki Market. Foodies in the Philippines only need to step a little bit off to the south of Metro Manila to sample some of the best Japanese ingredients at TEPPANYA. Located Evia Lifestyle Center along Daang-Hari road in Muntinlupa, it’s only a short drive away for our friends in Alabang, Las Pinas and some parts of Cavite.
Teppanya,a Japanese restaurant that showcases a bit of entertainment and off the grill or griddle items,as the name was derived from the word teppan which means iron griddle or plate.
It is situated in Evia Lifestyle mall in Dang Hari in the southern part of the metro.A place is elegant ,nice dining room reserved for us.The server assigned for us serves like a butler.Very good.
We're being served the Premium Set with some add on items.
*Grade A4 Rib Eye*Premium Angus*KingPrawns*Salmon*Green Dragon roll.*Clam Soup*Ebi Tempura*Imported Scallops*Japanese Fried Rice*Yellowtail Sashimi*Salmon Sashimi*Lapu Lapu Sashimi*sukiyaki roll*banana fritters ala mode*choice of beverages
Top picks:
*Grade A4 Steak- love the marbling of the meat, those white marbles represents good flavor, the fat is very delicious tho will be more wonderful if it didn't stayed in the griddle in that much duration.A very small issue for me.The bits of garlic chips that came as an accompaniment gave a new wave of texture.
*Green dragon love the symphony of ingredients that when pop into your mouth a harmonious gastronomic melody will ring.
Shrimp tempura, cucumber, crabstick topped with avocado and unagi.
*Clam Soup-as I'm not feeling well this was served first ,a leash on new energy splashed upon me,nice clear seafood broth that was deeply comforting.
*Japanese Fried Rice never thought I would like this,a dish of its own, meats, eggs, veggies, seasonings blended into a masterpiece.
*Sukiyaki Roll- rolled ,made and served from the griddle,a bonanza of tastes that illuminates the palate.
The theatrical side of the chef assigned for me is a bit lacking, needs a little tweaking in terms of engaging with the audience (guests).More accuracy on the cooking time of the dishes. And more eye contact and smile.☺🙂
But overall its a good place.A luxurious Japanese dining experience here in this side of the metro.
Teppanya is like having a taste of Japan. From the interiors, to the respectful crew, menu, and the way food is served, it’s like being in Japan just for a while. One must at least experience this at least once in their life.
We had the Premium Set (Six Premium Five Course Starter) with sashimi and maki extra orders. I think this set can serve around 4-6 people. The Green Dragon Roll was a little different from the typical maki. It has slices of cucumber and a whole piece of ebi tempura that definitely added to its nice texture when you munch on it. The salmon and and yellow tail sashimi were fresh and tasted good. The ebi tempura was also fried perfectly in a crispy and delicious batter and they didn’t overcook the shrimp. The salmon and king prawns were a little on the overcooked side. It could have been better. I liked the scallops and would have liked it more if they only served the adductor muscle or the white nugget in the center instead of giving us everything inside the shell. The fried rice (I think it’s called Chahan) that they served was also delicious. It wasn’t too flavorful that you’ll still appreciate the taste of everything that was served from the set. The Angus Prime Rib-eye was my favorite and will still get this if I have the chance. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned for me. Oh and they also served Wagyu A4-5, that’s also fresh from the the teppan but, unfortunately, I didn’t like it as much as the Angus Prime Rib-eye because it was a little chewy.
Overall, Teppanya is still an experience that won’t only tickle your tastebuds but all your other senses as well. It was a pleasure having dined here. Also, see photos for further reference on what I’m talking about.
