The secret to avoid "umay" is to pair up foods with different expected tastes. My favorite combination every time I eat in Rico's Lechon consists of Baked Scallops, Lechon, and Chorizo.
The Baked Scallops' taste always surprises me because it is dependent on how the cheese, butter, and spices are mixed with the right amount of each and the right amount of time the scallops are cooked. The thrill of discovering the taste is always a good sideline when I eat the Lechon because it balances the already familiar taste. And the sweet and spicy Chorizo spikes the thrill.
I have tried three branches of Rico's Lechon, and I liked the branch in Lapu-Lapu City the best. The ambiance and interior were good. The crew was nice and attentive. Definitely a good place to bond with the whole family.
They are pricier now, the menu is not updated but the food is still worth it. The lechon was crispy and as alwasy, it tasted superb! Will always come back for family and friends gathering or just a casual eat-out.
What we had:
Quarter lechon, chicharong bulaklak, baked scallops, eggplant with egg, cucumansi, ripe mango shake
What I think:
The food quality here is not particularly different with that of the one we have near our place in Pasig. That’s not a bad thing. Good, affordable food. The service can do a bit better though.
In search for the best lechon in Cebu, we went from one place to another and Rico's was not it. I heard Rico's is so famous even amongst outside of Cebu celebrities. It doesn't have distinct flavor from other lechon brand. And that includes their dinuguan. The pancit canton was good tho and I'm happy they have bits of squid and shrimp thrown in there coz usually pancit canton has only fishballs and vegetables. The restaurant was so pretty and fancy but the price wasn't expensive. I noticed people eating there are in groups and families. Overall, its a nice dine and the food are not bad. Anyway peeps, I recommend MLB Lechon in Danao city. It's only a small place near the going to Camotes port. Their dinuguan and paklay and lechon tasted better than any of the lechon places we've been in the whole week looking. The lechons in carcar city were also a no no. Due to many competitions in the area, some served leftover lechon.
You must all try their spicy lechon plus their branded vinegar and you just can't stop eating! Cap it with their mango oreo float! 💕 Indeniably, Da best gyud!
Rico's Lechon is well known not just in Cebu but in the Philippines. They have several branches in Cebu and one is only 15 minutes away from Mactan airport. We ordered rice Lechon and baked scallops and all were delicious and reasonably priced.
Lechon is very known here in Cebu but one thing really excites me as I drop by here and see the Rico's Lechon located very near me I grabbed the chance to taste their Lechon. It's a finger-licking food! so every time I've dropped by I'll go immediately here.
For me, they have the best Cebu Lechon especially the spicy lechon! It's a finger-licking food! I love the interior of this restaurant will definitely come back here.
I'll give 5 stars and I'll highly recommend this restaurant also! Very satisfying Filipino foods. The Lechon is very crunchy and delicious we'll be back here again! Thumbs up for Rico's Lechon!!!
The best dining experience. A memorable day for us, in Rico's Lechon - MACTAN Dabest gyud!! We all loved the Spicy lechon very crispy. Mom really loved the Bam-e it was very special. It was different as from other bam-e :D My favorite and really loved it!
The number one LECHON here in CEBU!!! Thumbs up for this #DabestLechon! Finally got my cravings satisfied!!! I will be back here with my family so they can taste it.
Cebu lechon is undoubtedly the best lechon there is. Rico's lechon is really good but the Cebu lechon in Carcar is still #1 for me. At Rico's we had an order each of the Original and Spicy Lechon. The meat is juicy and tasty, and the skin is perfectly crisp. We also tried the Sinigang na Lechon. At first I was skeptical about putting lechon in a soup since the skin won't be crispy anymore but it was actually really good. The sourness of the soup complimented the oily taste of the lechon. We also had Baked Scallops and a lot of rice with our lunch. I finished my meal with a Cumansi Quencher 🍹
I found the Best Traditional Lechon here in Cebu. Your lechon is very Crunchy and Juicy. And it was finger-licking good. The best lechon I ever taste.
When we were planning our trip to Siargao, we decided to pass through Cebu because the plane tickets were cheaper that way. I didn't really mind the stopover and just took advantage of the opportunity to eat at some of the raved about restaurants (near the Mactan-Cebu Internationl Airport).
When talking about Cebu and food, there can only be one association: lechon! There was a Zubuchon in the airport but I've already tried it back in Manila so on we went to their fiercest competitor, Rico's.
A few minutes away from the airport, we wasted no time in ordering both the Original and Spicy Lechon, Baked Scallops, and Eggplant Salad w/ Red Egg. Between the 2 lechon variants, we all liked the Spicy one better. But, regardless of the variant, I agree that their lechon meat is very tasty. The lechon skin wasn't too crispy, though.
The best lechon I've ever tasted was one that my mom brought home from Cagayan de Oro. But, Rico's (especially now that they've come to the shores of Manila) is a good enough replacement.
The best lechon we ever tasted! Every time we're taking our lunch with my husband we went here to satisfy our craves and try their different foods also.
The best lechon I’ve ever tasted. 😍
Will always come back here whenever I’m in Cebu.. 😁
the last time i went here was a bit unfortunate cos I decided to take away half kilo of lechon to Manila but the staff told me they’re already out of stock which the next delivery will take place by 2pm and my flight coming back home were 3:55PM.
Enough justification to tell that this lechon restaurant is the best. Will recommend this to my friends and relatives 🙂
I am fan of this restaurant here in Rico's Lechon. It is the best lehon for me, you can taste the juicy of the meat and the crispy of the skin. The service in here is fast.
I love this restaurants, their menu is so delicious specially their lechon. I love also their workers in here because they serve good to their customer. Last month we went in here with my family, we took lunch in here. I love the skin of their lechon because it's so crunchy.
Best Lechon experience since 2009!!! So sad they’re not in Cebu anymore but this yummy Lechon is worth the drive/traffic! 🐷🐷🐷
(Put a little smile on the staffs though. Thanks!)
Home of one of the best tasting lechon in Cebu, Rico's Lechon, is a must-visit. I recommend you to try the spicy one with a combination of the dinuguan and rice. I promise, you'll surely ask for more 😂🐷🐽
This has to be one of the best lechon that we've had! After seeing so much positive reviews about the lechon here, it was on our tasting list while in cebu. And the lechon definitely lived up to its reputation. The meat is juicy and the flavourings was delicious on first bite; we also agreed that no extra condiments was needed. In addition the skin was also perfectly roasted; crispy and not too much fat. The munggo and sisig was also delicious and the size is good for sharing.
The restaurant is a little small considering how busy it gets, but customers don't stay very long as they tend to eat then leave. Staff are also super busy but efficient; just make sure you grab their attention if you need anything.
Tried this popular lechon chain is Cebu. Their spicy lechon is one of the best lechon I’ve ever tasted especially the balat of the lechon. Their kinilaw and camarin rebusado were both great as well. But I must say that they should improve their services to the customer 👍🏻
Cebu's first order of business, one of the best Lechon's in town. Let me highlight my favorite, the lechon (roasted pork), meat was juicy and tender, a melt in your mouth experience. Oh my! Did I mention about how crispy the skin was? That was making all the difference, it was crunchy and tasty at the same time. They have another variety which is the spicy one but I prefer the original flavor. We ordered other dishes like Shrimp sinigang, ensalada, and fish steak, which was pretty okay. Another favorite was this, mocktail -- combination of Kalamansi, cucumber and basil, very refreshing after our flight. Must say, food is good, but service needs to improve, staff should be attentive and service time needs to be faster.
Had the chance to visit Cebu again and since it’s been a while we head straight from the Airport to Rico’s Lechon in Lapu-Lapu. We also heard that their Cebu branches we’re closed so good decision to eat here. The ambience was nice and they got a nice natural lighting, very homey. We ordered for their Original Lechon, Sinigang na Hipon and Baked Scallops. Their Sinigang was nice but nothing special. For the Lechon, we got the 1/2 original one. It says good good for 2, but we three hungry eaters barely finish it. Maybe because we ordered other food but still serving was generous for 2. Tastes really good, crispy skin and tasty meat. Really makes us feel that it’s nice to be back in Cebu. Finally, Baked Scallops never disappoints. I really liked it the first time I tried it up until now. It’s creamy, nicely seasoned and good serving for the price.
Overall, this place have been my go-to when in Cebu. Will be back for sure.
I've tried 5 lechon places in Cebu, by far the best!! I was not a lechon person but coming to Cebu and tasting Rico's turned me into one. Now i'm craving it every week. The interior is beautiful and service was good. 👍
Food was served hot, pancit canton tastes good. lechon was good as always, lucky us there was a new delivery of lechon when we got there. Seaweed salad is fresh.
Been to 2 different branches and I can really say this one of the best branches. The staff is accommodating and the place is nice. Although the spicy lechon wasn't as good It was still worth it. Other than thats i love their other foods and Drinks.
My parents and I really a fan of Cebu Lechon. Whenever we had a special occasion here in Cebu, we really go straight here. The lechon is so crispy and spicy! Very tasty and popular among Cebuanos.
This place is unpredictable with how busy it can be and there will be no dining available at times and they should find a way to accommodate more customers or build up and add another floor if at all possible.
Food is consistent with all branches.
Quality and Price are on point. (No complaints there)
The staff do their very best to accommodate all customers whether they are dining in or just rather do take-out instead.

10 min time travel from my place.
I was craving for Lechon and 'twas a perfect timing for a "birthdate".
I love the rustic feels.
Well, we arrived earlier than their serving time (for Lechon). They actually serve around 6-6:30 PM.
But it's better to be early than sorry!
So we ordered 1/2 Original Lechon and Baked scallops (fav!).
Tbh, the "balat" (lechon skin) was so crunchy! Of course, the meat itself was so tasty and a bit of salty which suits my tastebuds just fine 😎
As for the scallops? The touch of butter nailed it! Just don't overeat.. to avoid "luod" feeling. Haha!
Overall, I'll recommend this Lechon House to all lechon-lovers! Nom!
Best lechon in cebu so far! Try their spicy lechon if you love spicy food. the spice of the chillis makes it more flavorful and makes you want for more rice! 😊
Best lechon ever! We tried the original and spicy lechon and it was so delicious! We also got to bring some of this good stuff home in manila. The restaurant was clean and service was excellent. They packed our pasalubong lechon very well. Rico's Salamat kaayo!
Had dinner here, with 3 of my colleagues and ordered, 1/2 kilo regular lechon, scallops, and pancit canton. I think Rico's lechon is one of the best lechon I tasted in Cebu, the taste is just right not salty, not spicy. Scallops are also goos, and the pancit canton was cooked perfectly, noodles was cooked right not soggy, vegetables was crunchy and not overcooked. Definitely will go back.
However restaurant is quite small, we had to wait a little while because there were so many people eating. Overall it was a good dining experience.
Ordered the Original Lechon, it's really delicious on it's own, no need for any sauce. Also tried the Chopsuey which is, well, ordinary and the Kinilaw na Tanigue, which I think they put some gata in it, I wasn't a fan. But still, it's a good place to try one of Cebu's authentic lechon.
What I love here at Rico's Lechon in Mactan Promenade is the interior. I love the rustic look of the place. The food is always great and the staff are very accommodating
Since lechon is one of the must-try food in Cebu, we could never leave the Queen City of the South without dropping by Rico's Lechon. I had my hubby rate the three establishments offering lechon and he rated their lechon as second since the meat is tasty but the skin is not crunchy. We also tried their baked scallops as comparison and we can say that this is not their best. The scallops are oily and its garlic taste is predominant. The sinigang na lechon is not that sour, which we find lacking. The oreo mango float is not cold but it tastes okay. Overall it is okay but if you really crave for the lechon and baked scallops, this is not the best place.
One of my favorite Rico's Lechon branch just located near the airport! I thought this was the branch my mom reserved for a dinner.
Anyway, I visited here last year and I remember our current President was here! I might not one of the people have seen him here eating but just my friend told me the Duterte Family loves Rico's Lechon! Wow.
This branch is the one I tried their roasted pork or the first time. My Korean friend brought me here for a dinner. He told me this is his favorite. I can't tell yet my favorite roasted pork but in Thailand, I don't used to eat roasted pork there.
I must say although I was born and raised in Cebu, lechon is not my most favorite dish. Lechon is a difficult dish to prepare and sadly, not too many people know how to prepare one. Fortunately, it seems like the people at Ricos Lechon are some of the few people who should be authorized to make lechon. And that's because their lechon is just heavenly. They say Talisay and Carcar lechon are the best. But I have to say that Rico's lechon is definitely the best-tasting lechon I've ever tried. It doesn't need any sauce, it becomes better with vinegar, it has the right level of saltiness, it makes you eat a whole plate of rice, the meat is tender and the skin is super crispy, and most importantly, it doesn't have a stinky smell. I highly recommend Rico's Lechon. Go get yourself some!
Pros: The lechon is one of Cebu's best and it did not disappoint. The meat, the crunchy skin, the overall flavor were satisfying. The Dinuguan, Pancit Canton, Monggos soup were equally tasty. However, the Calamares seemed lost in the enormity of the batter. The interior is not too shabby, on the contrary it is quite impressive and presentable.
Cons: Service on a Sunday lunch time was slow, we made like 3 or 4 reminders to different waiters until our order was finally served. They don't accept reservations, only walk-ins. Parking area is limited, so finding a space during peak hours can be tricky.
But overall, the dining experience at Rico's was not bad. For the lechon alone we won't say no to coming back here.
When we say lechon, the first place we think of is Cebu. That's why Rico's Lechon is here!! Probably one of the best tasting lechon in the city. And its very accessible from the airport, maybe 2-3 minutes away.
When I went there, I did not really focused on the food since Ian Veneracion was also there, enjoying the lechon.
With an early call time, we don't mind. Who else won't get excited for lechon? And it's not just any lechon in Cebu, it's the Rico's Lechon!. We visited Rico's new commissary in Talamban, a large lechon pit that could cater more customers to keep up with their skyrocketing orders each day. We were so delighted to be guests during the blessing of it.
I first saw this restaurant when Mr. Rodrigo Duterte visited his ex-wife here while celebrating her birthday.
So I told my parents which is a fan of Duterte. We visited this restaurant.
Aside from being so popular, I consider their lechon as one of the delicious lechon here in Cebu.
The very first time we went here with my family was when my father's birthday. We knew that Rico's Lechon is becoming popular back then. It's actually far different from other lechon we tried. The skin is perfectly crispy. We don't even need a knife to cut it!
Rico's lechon is our favorite Cebu lechon. So it was nice to see this new location on the way to the airport making it convenient to take out before heading back home. It is best to reserve early since the lechon sells out fast. Highly recommend their spicy lechon which is very tasty already. It is also best to take the belly or ribs part since all the flavors are placed in that area.
The first time I went here was when my friends invited me to have dinner. The food is great and looking on their pictures and frames hang on the walls, many celebrities were already here.
Cebu is known for its lechon and a trip to the land of La Marea is not complete without a trip to a restaurant that specializes in lechon. This time around, we visited Rico’s Lechon.
Hello, Rico’s Lechon!
The place was packed when we arrived. We had to wait for about 20 minutes before getting a table. And this was on a Monday with the restaurant not even being near offices. It must be really popular like CnT, I thought.
We were famished when we sat down so we immediately ordered Baked Scallops (PHP180) and half kilo lechon (PHP310). R also got Watermelon Shake (PHP70) while I tried the Halo-Halo shake (PHP110).
First served was the baked scallops and I must say, it was a generous serving of scallops! If I order it here in Manila, I would only get around 7-8 scallops.
I loved that it was buttery and it had a hint of garlic taste. The scallops itself was fresh.
Next served was the lechon. And yes, they do not serve sauce like Mang Tomas to accompany the crunchy roasted pig. Instead, Cebuanos dip it in soy sauce. (You may also add other condiments or pepper for extra flavor.)
It was… okay. The skin wasn’t as crunchy and there were some parts of the lechon that were tough and hard to chew. It wasn’t spectacular and I still prefer Pepita’s lechon. Even ArroZeria’s cochinillo’s better. Or perhaps I just expected too much after seeing the packed restaurant on a weekday.
On the other hand, the drinks were refreshing. I loved my halo-halo drink. It was like drinking melted halo-halo flavored ice cream.
Definitely one of the best lechon places in Cebu! My family and I had a celebration at their newest place in the Promenade, which is just a walk away from our house. Their lechon is quite affordable, too. Indeed worth the price! They have an impeccable service as they cater to their customers well and attentively every time. Their ambiance is very comfortable and elegant as well. I love their interior as it denotes a lovely space for get-togethers. Can't wait to try their other offerings!
I was craving for lechon when we decided to drop by here to indulge ourselves with the famous ricos lechon of Cebu. We also ordered their sisig and fish balls. All tasted so good and for me they should have an unlimited rice so that the customers will enjoy lechon more with rice.
Price is just right and definitely worth your money. They have a very good place.

The best authentic Cebu lechon! Service is fast. Ambiance is beautiful, homey and cozy- a taste of the old Cebu with a twist! Perfect for family gatherings and occassions. A must try!!
For a classic Cebu Lechon that will not disappoint.
Price was very reasonable. Food was good. Service was fast. Aircon was strong. Place was very clean except in the restroom.
Overall experience was 8/10
Skip the pandan dessert. Not worth it.
Yesterday, Rico’s Lechon has finally opened it first branch in Lapu-Lapu City at Mactan Promenade which is strategically located near the Mactan International Airport. People coming in and out of the city may now experience Cebu’s best tasting lechon and even bring it with them as pasalubong for their loved ones. Together with the opening of a new branch, Rico’s Lechon also unveiled its new brand, new restaurant design and concept, and new slogan: DA BEST GYUD! It was a great experience to be there and witness this new milestone. This is no mere promotion of sorts, because in all honesty, I am a fan and I can truly testify that they have indeed the best-tasting lechon in town. DA BEST GYUD ANG RICO’S LECHON!
I just had to give in to my cravings before I leave 😜
I had again, a 1:1 and intimate session with their spicy lechon. I just love biting into those thin and crispy roasted pig skin enveloping the meatylicious roast. It gives you a powerful explosion of flavors with just the right bite of spice. The saltiness is perfectly balanced out with their tangy, sweet-sour vinegar that satisfies you with every bite. - Happy 😋😋😋
