Staffs are very accomodating, provides good service, very polite and kind however, in our experience, not all food in the menu are available. But I really love the foods they serve tho. Overall, the restaurant is excellent.
Love there pork belly lechon. Very traditional taste, one of Cebu’s best food. The place is relaxing even you are alone.haha! This is worth a taste.
Very good service and love their cucumber mix juice! Food was good especially their sisig, yum! And yes, unli rice makes it an attractive bit for some.
Being being born and bred in this country, I am usually picky when it comes to Filipino cuisine. But at Golden Cowrie, we absolutely have no reason to be fussy. Why? Because despite growing competition, this Filipino restaurant chain has remained consistent and their food continues to taste as good as the first time we've tried them.
We recently treated some friends to dinner at their Mactan Marina Mall outlet. We chose one of their five-viand sets with unlimited rice & drinks (all for Php 1,499) consisting of:
• Chicken Tinola - savory chicken broth with vegetables. Simply 'Souperb'!
• Crispy Pata XL (extra large) - whole pork leg boiled until tender, then deep-fried to crisp, golden-brown goodness!
• Chicken Pandan - originally a Thai dish, roasted chicken chunks wrapped in fragrant, savory-sweet pandan (Southeast Asian screw pine) leaves.
• Fried Tuna Fingers - breaded tuna slices deep fried & served with mayo dip & achara (pickled papaya, carrots & ginger).
• Adobong Talong - eggplants stewed in soy sauce, garlic & vinegar. The surprise standout of the whole bunch!
Moderately priced, well-cooked, delicious meals brought to your table by competent, friendly staff.
If you happen to sit near our table that night, you'll surely overhear these cries of delight from our group: "Ooh!", "Mmm!", "Lami!" (Yum!)
At Golden Cowrie, expect to hear more of these exclamations, dish after dish.
Compared to the other Golden Cowrie branches, this place is a bit smaller but you could really enjoy your favorite Filipino meals here with peace since the place is relatively quiet. Their staff is really well-trained and may even strike up a conversation with you, making you feel more comfortable, while waiting for your order.
Their food is pretty good; every dish is exactly how Filipinos want it to be. They give you a generous serving which would really satisfy you. Their prices are pretty reasonable and befitting for the quality of their service and their food as well. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good place serving Filipino dishes whenever you are around the Lapu-Lapu City area.
This branch is located just near Mactan Airport which makes it a good place to eat for those who are on their way to catch a flight or those who just arrived from their long flight. They serve regular Filipino dishes here pretty much like Lantaw, Hukad, Chikaan, etc. But even better bec they offer unlimited rice! And the food is really good too. Service is also OK. Not that hard to call the waiter's attention bec they are very attentive.
I ordered kinilaw and tinola na tangnige it was fantastic the kinilaw is great with rice its good they offer unlimited rice. This place is fantastic to those who want local cebuano food. The service and price is also ok.

Golden Cowrie at the Marina Mall is not exactly my favorite GC branch but it is one of the better restaurants in Lapu-Lapu City. It is near the airport so if you are planning to grab a bite before your flight, this is the place to be. Try the tuna fingers.
