I've been here countless times because some of my friends lived just behind this establishment. We would frequent here because of the smell that just mesmerizes and lures us to eat here. Hahaha
Over the years, Vibe's Gourmet has been one of my go to places whenever I am undecided where to eat. My personal favorites are their Herbs and Spices, Lemon and Pepper Chicken. I also like their pork chop and belly, not to mention their Special Burger(one of my drunk food lol). But the best thing here is their sauce! Oh I still remember the first time I've tasted it! If you're a fan of spicy food like, you'd get the hype too. Too bad their sauce became watery and lost most of its consistency, but though mostly of the taste remained. The pork portions have also reduced, but is still okay for the price.
Their service is very inconsistent, most times you'd get your order after a few minutes, some after almost half an hour even though the place isn't crowded. But the management is very friendly, especially the mom.
Overall, Vibe's gourmet is good for talk-over-food with friends, late-night eats, or even after intoxicating yourself with booze.
By the way, they now offer food off the grill, so you can get most of their chicken and pork menu grilled for the same price. I think their grill is until 10 or 11pm.
Well known for their pork chop. Also try their chicken with herbs and spices and cajun flavor. Their sauce is good also. You don't have to sacrifice your wallet to enjoy great food.
So far, I love their fried chicken in herbs & spices. This is my go to place when I crave for fried chicken. Maybe they just somehow need to improve the ambiance of their restaurant. But over all, the fried chicken is so good — makes me really want to pair my cup of rice with 2 chicken slices! 😊
A good food trip doesn’t always have to mean that the food was expensive or that you dined at a 1-star Michelin restaurant. Sometimes, it’s the simplest of things that can lead to a good food trip– the delicious taste of the food that makes you crave for it once more, an enjoyable dining experience, and the comfort of being with friends that truly matter.
Vibe’s Chicken Gourmet isn’t exactly what you’d call a new establishment. It’s one of those carinderias or hole-in-the-wall places where locals know of but never garnered enough attention to be buzzworthy. Students from nearby schools frequent it, as did med reps who were passing the time before they rushed off to meet with their doctors.
There’s no extravagance to Vibe’s interior. It’s an open-air dining establishment that even lacked its own signage. You’ll only know when you’re there once you see its name written on Manila paper and plastered behind a woman who would take your order. What they miss for in ambiance and interior, they gain with their delicious dishes. But at the very least, the place was clean and maintained well.
What does a good food trip mean for you? Dining at Vibe’s reminds me of what a good food trip truly is. It’s delicious, affordable (I spent only P150) and memorable. And for that brief moment, I felt like I was already a native Bisaya; or at least I was in on their secret.
