I love the chicken pot pie and the grilled Hamburger Steak. Both dishes were flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Honestly I am not a big fan of the Tokyo Cheesecake but I absolutely love the Dessert Ramen (I highly recommend this Dessert). Great service, great food.

They have an amazing food.Especially the chicken pot pie and hamburger steak, it is really insanely delicious (oishii).And they have excellent service staff .
Try the chicken pot pie, this is really their specialty, as well as the buffalo chicken wings, spaghetti pescatore~ and for dessert, the chocolate cake with homemade ginger ice cream! Yum!!

Today i have to try the signature dish of their restaurant. The Angus Beef Ribeyes steak, Watermelon Juice for the drink and Tokyo Cheesecake for my dessert.-The Angus Beef Ribeyes steak is a combination of Angus Beef side with mashed potato and mix vegetables garnish with rosemary then match with Japanese Steak Sauce. The steak is cook on a medium rare, a bit juicy on the inside and seasoned very well. While the mashed potato is creamy and the mix vegetables is bit salty but it complements with the steak. The Japanese Steak Sauce almost tastes like a teriyaki sauce but lighter in flavor. The sauce combined with the steak level up the flavor. You did a very good job handling the Angus Beef flavor.
-For the watermelon Juice is very refreshing. It is properly blend and above that they manage to separate the seeds unlike any other watermelon juice that are present in the juice. Its not too sweet and not light in flavor. Just the right amount of sweetness.
-While the Tokyo Cheesecake match with sweet lemon sauce garnish with mint leaf is very sweet. It has the flavor of a lemon and cheese combined. The caramel texture on top gives it a good presentation while the cheese on the middle is creamy, soft and luscious in flavor.
Skillet manage to live up to my expectation. Especially how accommodating all the staff. Continue to give a good customer service and delicious food. Something to look forward again in the future. See again soon.

I love the food it was superb! I enjoyed eating the dew droplet cake. I was fascinated with the physical feature of the cake. It was my first time to visit Skillet and everything was fine.

I recommend this restaurant. It's delicious and real Japanese taste. I don't wanna put my rating. Because i have to wait if many people go there. Hehehe Skillet is one of my favorite restaurants in cebu.
Great combination of taste, using japanese dishes as the base and infusing it with lots of different flavors. If food innovation has its favorite places, i would choose here.

Skillet is a mix of japanese and western cuisine. Their menu consist of items which are not typical for a japanese restaurant.
If you are looking for your usual sashimi or maki, this place is not for you!
Phoned in around 5:30pm to reserve a table for 8. Crew was helpful in recommending that we occupy their VIP/function room for free or with no minimum since we were a group of 8 and we had a preschooler with us.
We had their sisig quesadilla for appetizers. The verdict? I couldnt taste the "sisig" but it was still good, a bit pricey at 200php for 4 pcs.
Also had buffalo wings which I really liked since the coating had a distinct flavor compared to what we usually have in other resto's. The chicken skin was not crispy since it was soaked well with the calamansi and other ingredients, which further enhanced its flavor.
For the mains, we ordered:
Baked beef cheese curry - beef was tender and curry sauce had the right amount of spicyness in it. Although I ordered this mainly because I saw the ingredient "cheese", I couldnt really taste it, and for that I give it a 4/5
Risotto pescatore - dont let the unappetizing look fool you. this dish was probably one of the highlights for that night, next to their stewed hamburger.
Japanese stewed hamburger steak - if you are not sure on what to order, try this one! easily a 5/5. everyone loved it!
Spaghetti napoletan - 3/5 found the scrambled egg beneath the pasta a bit weird. Not that it didnt taste great though.
Spaghetti crab tomato cream sauce - 2/5. a bit disapointed on this one. This was recommended as a best seller. However the "crab" left a very faint taste, its like it was not there at all. Thus, it was more like an ordinary tomato pasta.
For the dessert, we had their dew droplet cake. Honestly, nothing special for 250php. It looks cool though.
Overall, I would recommend this place to someone who wants to try something new out of the ordinary, usual japanese places in Cebu. A bit pricey, yes... but you get your money's worth.
My only recommendation to the management would be to put a buzzer/bell of some sort in their function rooms or table upstairs. It was hard to order or call on the waiters. We had to waive our hands numerous times in order to get their crews attention.

Not your typical Japanese bistro. Skillet Japanese Cafe and Bistro delivers that modern japanese fusion to the culinary scene. Delectable entrees and desserts. The best part? It's a great place for a romantic dinner.
Though their food is a bit pricey but it's worth it. Desserts are great. Not to mention, the owner of the restaurant Tsuji san who's super nice and friendly.
Unique flavors inspired from the fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine is the stronghold for Skillet Japanese Café and Bistro. Led by their chef, Masaki Tsuji, Skillet has successfully fused not only Japanese and Western Cuisine but also Asian cuisine.
Fortunately, we were invited to try their newly-crafted dessert which we will share shortly. Varied appetizers were served before the main dessert. The appetizers were very succulent and were plated to spice up your appetite. We’ve had their Bangbang Chicken, Sisig Quesadilla, Smoked Salmon, Onion Gratin Soup, and Caprese with Basil Miso Soup.

I have always been a fan of Japanese food. But what I expected to get from the usual Japanese restaurants were not in any of Skillet's offerings. I love how Skillet's concept differs from other Jap restos because it was where I discovered a whole new world of Japanese fusion that I cant find any where else. It's a mix western flair with French and Italian influences that goes well with Japanese food. It's a superb Japanese fusion hub meant for adventurous foodies out there. They have the best appetizers, specifically the Sisig Paella which I love. Another must try is Smoke Salmon Marinade which is so addicting, 1 order may not be enough, haha. For matcha lovers, you must get your hands to their matcha crepe cake and matcha cheesecake - it gives rich matcha flavor you wouldn't want to miss. Also, Skillet is known for their Dew Droplet Cake. Now, they have created a new dessert made from the same droplet cake ingredients called Dessert Ramen. It's a ramen inspired dessert with a bit of the pinoy halo-halo feels. It comes in 3 flavors, mango, black syrup and matcha. I had matcha for my dessert ramen and I can't stop smiling while consuming my dessert. It's not only super delish, but also very fun to eat. It's both entertaining and filling at the same time. Skillet is the bomb. I can't wait to be back.
Skillet Japanese Cafe & Bistro is definitely not your ordinary Japanese restaurant. If you're looking for the traditional sushi and ramen, then I advise you skip Skillet. Ambiance-wise, I love how Skillet emphasizes that they are a modern Japanese restaurant. The place is very cozy too. I highly suggest you go there during lunch time to avoid unnecessary noise since Skillet is situated near a bar.
Anyway, their food are really delicious. You may think they're a bit pricey but they are really worth it. Plus they serve the most talked-about Dew Droplet Cake or more commonly called the Raindrop Cake! This refreshing dessert is definitely the highlight and one of the main reasons why you should try Skillet Japanese Cafe & Bistro!

A solid restaurant that offers Modern Japanese cuisine. They have lots of standout dishes and their desserts are very trendy. I would love to take my wife here on a date. Among my favorites here are the rice gratin with white sauce and chicken pot pie. The dew droplet cake is my default choice when it comes to desserts.
HI! there,The Japanese owner itself cooks the very mouth watering dishes.Especially their Cream Crab Croquette, Stewed Hamburger Steak and Chicken Pot Pie as their best seller, it is very spectacular.The place is very comfortable and they even have a function room upstairs for meetings and family events .Must try it!

This is located in a new area beside Jcenter. Ample parking outside. The place is small but classy and quiet.
We ordered the hamburger steak and the beef curry. Both were amazing. As good as the food I eat in japan and same price, too. Hehe. The japanese chef knows how to prepare the meat well and it melts in your mouth and I felt some nostalgia eating it. With a coupon we also got a complimentary dessert which obviously we chose the strawberry shortcake.

Interesting food items. We went in expecting Japanese cuisine, but we were surprised that Filipino food dominated the menu. We loved the lengua and seafood kare-kare. The wait staff were well-trained; very attentive and detailed, polite and friendly. Overall a good quality experience, with great service just like in Japan.
Great Food! I absolutely love the place. I highly recommend their lengua, scallops, chicken pot pie and buffalo wings!
We received good service from their staff and we were able to meet the head chef! We commend him for his great cooking. My family and friends will be back there soon.
We tried this resto with my friend and we're really impressed on how they handle their customers. They are very attentive and approachable. We ordered their pasta napoletana and the seafood pasta, their not quite that tasty as what i've expected (but still an exemption because they're actually a japanese resto) but their quesidilla is the best!
