Number one Japanese restaurant in cebu.
First visit:
So good even my Japanese friend was saying the food took him back to Tokyo for a minute. Will be returning soon, for sure. I liked Azabu (and still do, actually) but the sashimi here is on a different league.
Second visit:
Visited a second time, this time by my lonesome, after two weeks (couldn't take it! lol). Ordered Zaru Soba and five-piece sashimi plate. The sashimi was impeccable like the last time but the salmon, tako and uni were the highlights this time around. They even gave me little slivers of two other types of fish, on the house! Also got to try the chilled soba noodles per my Japanese friend's recommendation. The contrast the cold noodles makes with the wasabi-infused dip will blow your mind! Staff was nice too. Will definitely go back again soon!
They have a considerably wide variety of food selections on their menu. However, I have noted that some (a considerable number) of them are actually unavailable.
I actually like the idea of a Japanese-fusion restaurant, that's why I hope Ebisuya improves on the taste of the food they serve. The staff were very accommodating, nonetheless.
The set meals are just awesome. If you love Japanese and Korean Food, you have to try it here. We got the 2,500 set and it was than enough for 5 or even 6 people. It had gyoza, assorted tempura, chahan, salad topped kara-agi, saury, california roll, korean pancakes, and jjampong.
My friends really enjoyed our time here. We stayed one of their private dining rooms on the second floor and it is an awesome place for small birthday or a mini-reunion with friends.
We also had their sashimi and it was something that I will try again on my next visit. I had a variety of fish like salmon as well as squid and sea urchin roe. The service staff were quite friendly in our visit and they all look good. I was even teasing their manager that he knows how to pick a wait staff.

Ebisuya Fusion Japanese Cuisine. From the name itself, you can possibly think of something, something extraordinary that you and your family or besties must give it a try. I have tried almost everything in Ebisuya, and trust me, the food, the place, the staff, were totally exceptional. My favorite was the Sashimi. Not just the typical fresh fish... They have it tasty and pure. The Japchae which I think most Chinese people's fave, it was served really good. No it was really tasty. Mango Juice, strawberry shake, and everything fruity were all fresh and trust me on this, super yummy and were all made from real fruits. REAL for REAL. The place was built with such beauty and the structure was unique. I love how it looked like from the outside, Modern and Classy - two of my favorite words. Their staff were friendly and they were all warm to us and i felt like it is one of the factors that should be considered. It was a total dining experience. It was unforgettable and you guys should check the place out, and when you do, please give me your feedback. Like, try it now!

SERVICE. Ebisuya clamors with such gratifying service to their customers. If you happen to visit this restaurant, just anticipate to be treated like royalty. Their staffs are really appeasing and well mannered.
Just because I mentioned their service first does not convey that I disliked their food. Actually, their food was truly sumptuous. They even provided us a complimentary otoshii which was enjoyable. We had their Gyoza, Tempura Udon, Oyakudon and California Roll. Their California Roll tasted remarkable and a must-try if anyone is wishing to dine in Ebisuya. Though their Oyakudon savored too salty for my palate but the relish of their freshly made fruit shakes consumed the saltiness away. We had their Apple and Strawberry Shake which were exceptional. Once you had a sip of their fruit shakes, you can notice immediately that it is prepared with REAL FRUITS and not just one of those typical fruit shakes we all have been used to.
Place looked glamorous. Tenor was sophisticated with a pacifying vibe. Service was really satisfying. Food was great. What more can I wish for? Gochisousama deshita. Oishii katta desu. Mate ne. ╲(｡◕‿◕｡)╱✿
