We ordered beef soft tacos, steak burrito, cheese quesadilla, and chicken enchiladas. Favorite dish was the taco and enchiladas it was very rich in flavor but the burrito could’ve been better if it had more meat. All in all 4 stars! 😊
Visited during the Covid-19 pandemic. They ask that you reserve a table for dine in so that they can limit the number of guests inside the restaurant.
The owner Leo was friendly and helped us order. The first thing we got were the Nachos, perfectly crisp thin chips, good quality cheese and fresh made salsa. Next was the Pulled Pork Buritto, that's something I'd go back for over and over again. I've tried most of the Mexican restaurants around Metro Manila and I've never had a Burrito that tasted this good. The tortilla wrapper was lightly toasted, and the Mexican rice was perfectly spiced. Best of all, it was served hot! This made the big difference for me. Great meal paired with a cold beer, I wanted more as soon as I left.
This place is worth the drive to Antipolo.
The only Authentic Mexican restau in Upper Antipolo. Our favorite go to place! Generous food serving and with high quality. The price is reasonable, definitely won’t break your wallet. Try their Steak Burrito, Louisiana Chicken, Fried Steak California Burrito, Cheese Quesadillas, Mexican Wings and Fries, Buffalo Chicken, Chili con carne, Buffalo fries
We were craving for Mexican food and found this on Zomato with a fairly high rating. Drove all the way from Pasig and was not disappointed. Now, we were from Houston, TX so we know Tex-Mex food and everything was spot on. They don't skimp on their ingredients from spices to meats. The burrito order is good for sharing. It is so good that we bypassed the one closer to us (translation of Coriander) and drive here to get our fix. Try them and you won't be disappointed!
To my knowledge, LEON Authentic Mexican is currently the sole Mexican food joint in the entirety of Antipolo City. Just do a Google Search- the nearest to appear would most likely be the ones along Marcos Hiway and Ortigas Ave. Extension. Very far from the city proper. With this, Antipolo peeps need not to venture far for their Mexican food fix. And for those not familiar with the cuisine, they can finally try it out.
Note that LEON isn't just your run-of-the-mill place that serves burrito willy-nilly and calls it a day. They have a carefully crafted menu that gives patrons a wide choice of legitimate Mexican cuisine, complete with uncommon ingredients such as cumin and cilantro, that's similar to big guns in the industry like Army Navy, Silantro and El Chupacabra. Despite being 'seemingly' dwarfed by these big companies, LEON can proudly stand on its own, shoulder-to-shoulder with them when it comes to food and service quality.
Categories of their dishes mainly comprise of Burrito, California Burrito, Fried California Burrito, Quesadillas, Asada Burrito, Breakfast Burrito, Naked Burrito, Tacos, Sizzling Fajitas, Mexican Rice Platter, and Chicken Wings, with a whole lot of other choices in their 'Others' category. Each dish is priced around P170-300, and they're already good for SHARING. But you'll probably have your order all to yourself if you really appreciate this type of food.
I was able to try most of their stuff, and what I can say is that you get your money's worth: pretty much mouth-watering deliciousness served in big portions in all of them! And the various sauces LEON provides make them even more delectable.
While you're at it, top off your belly-filling meals with their authentic imported Mexican beers. They currently have variants of Modelo, Pacifico Clara and Corona. They're pretty hard to come by so try them out when you can.

As of January 2020, Leon Authentic Mexican has been operating for around 4 years already, being in Antipolo for almost half of my life, I was shookt that I haven't got the chance to taste their food for that long.
They have been thru a lot of ups and down, but chose to stay and survive the industry. Now they are becoming popular and has plans of putting up more branches like in Makati and somewhere South, so watch out. The dedication that the owners and partners gave is something significant that they cannot give this up. Stay awesome guys!
It is humbly located at the corner of the 2nd floor of LKV building just accross Ynares Center Antipolo. A really small and cozy place that could accommodate at least 20 persons at a time. Maybe that is why some customer prefer to have their favorites ordered for take home.
I am not a fan of Mexican food nor an expert when it comes to their spices, but all I know is that I ate and tasted awesome food in this place.
And here my top 3:
1. Naked Burrito
2. Chimichanga
3. Pulled Pork Taco
Hmmm now I am craving! Cause everything is just so savory and has a well balanced flavor of Mexican food. (Hopefully I could distinguish the authenticity in the future, all I know now is that I would come back for more)

it's apparent how passionate the owners are in providing quality Mexican food. i enjoyed their nachos- the chips they use are perfectly thin and crunchy, while the meat had jus the right flavor.
cali chicken burrito was alright... I'd like to try the regular version next time.
the steak taco had an overwhelming amount of meat haha... so it's a must-have for protein junkies.

I have been a fan of spicy food ever since but I fell in love with Mexican food not because of the jalapeños or chillies but because of it’s vibrancy, freshness and combination of flavors that gives a distinct kick!
I’ve tried different Mexican restaurants and I must say that @leonauthentic is the only one that gives justice to it’s claim “authentic” Mexican food in the Metro.
We tried their Steak Fajita, Chicken Fajita, Naked Chicken Burrito, Cali Burrito, Chimichanga, pulled pork taco, shredded beef taco.
Spectacular authentic and delicious mexican food each dish had a unique flavor and there was burst of flavors with each bite .
With all the spice and flavor more than just teasing our tastebuds, they serve beverages from softdrinks down to alcoholic drinks.
Price is reasonable, considering the taste and quality of food.
We also had take away orders which was still good when eaten at home. Would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.
Located at the heart of Antipolo City is Leon Authentic Mexican. I was curious why it's one of Zomato's Top 10 Restos in Rizal and was quite excited to try it.
And I'm happy to report that Leon did not disappoint. Everything we tried here is super yummy and you can really tell high quality ingredients were used. Serving is also big, and the price, budget-friendly.
Must-try:
Chimichanga
Naked burrito
Sizzling fajitas steak
Price ranges from 180-220 for mains and is good for sharing (but who wants to share?! Lol), so we really enjoyed dining here! Kudos to the chef owner and staff!
The food was great. Not sure if the food was authentic as I have not yet been to Mexico, but all the food that we ordered were delicious. The serving size of the soft tacos (beef and pulled pork) and the enchilada was small, but for some reason they were very filling. The serving size of the mexican fries was big.
The restaurant is small. The tables are small and near each other. The kitchen exhaust can be enlarged so that the smoke from cooking all that good fod will not go to the dining area.
As for the price of the food, it is ok. In my opinion, the price is just right for the quality and taste of the food that you are getting. We will definitely come back again when we crave for mexican food.
The name speak for itself, authentic Mexican👍
Group of 5, we all ordered different meals, and they were all great! We even ordered for take out! We’ll go back for sure to try their other dishes.
This is a perfect place if you are craving for a mexican foodand you live in the suburban of Antipolo. I can't say anything bad. Seriously, the serving size, the place, the staffs, the food itself is superb! I am a picky eater and none of our orders left behind. Highly recomended is their chimichanga.
I love the food. We ordered California Burritto 👍 Cheese and Jalapeño Quesadilla, Mexican fries and Lemon and Herb Chicken wings. Quesadilla is a little burnt, nevertheless it was so good. Some fries are undercooked and bland in taste but the toppings complimented the blandness. Lemon and herb chicken is superb. Burrito is also super yummy. Really love it. And they all serve it hot.
Will come back again that's for sure.
This is the first review I have done that really deserves that 4 star compliment!
We arrived from a hiking trip and saw this establishment on our way back to manila. Its a small restaurant on the 2nd flr of a small commercial building. I had doubts at first with it, since none of us were familiar with the terrain. We found it, and the owner and chef quickly guided us thru the menu and shared with us the must haves. The place is a bit small, would probably fit around 20 people, max, but we went there past 3pm, so it was there were just a few diners.
The owner ordered for us, 2 chicken burritos (nice rice to chicken ratio), 2 calfornia burritos (fries instead of rice..instant crowd favorite), 2 nachos (usual fair nachos), garlic lemon wings (8pcs) lousiana wings (dry mix), 1 lamb fajita(personal fav), 1 steak fajitas, and 2 carne asado (no rice or fries...just refried beans..hmm..probably skip this), plus individual drinks...and we came up with a total of 3k...
Now thats such a steal!. The food was great, the chef mentioned about them.making their own spice mix, the meat was marinated really well, with their steaks being served as medium well(unlike most mex restos in mla serving gnawing well done ones). They had reaalllyy good hot sauces. The place was kept clean, the service was really fast. Giving this a 4 star just because its so far from manila! But we would probably return again for a sunday trip here. Not much food pics cos we were hungry and the food just vanished after serving to us. Must try and highly recommend to anyone visiting antipolo. A truly authentic mexican eatery in this part of town.
Came here twice already, I love the food except the Steak Burrito, the meat is too hard can't swallow.
Their place is so small and it takes forever for the food to come. But once you get your orders it'll be worth the wait. You need to try their Chimichangas and Mexican Fries.
I was looking for a nice place in Antipolo to have our post valentines date and I stumbled upon Leon Authentic Mexican here in Zomato. We wanted a not so heavy dinner so we tried this one and we love mexican food.
The place was quite small but it’s okay for me cos it’s kinda comfy and it doesn’t get too cramped inside.
We ordered:
- Pulled pork soft tacos
- Louisiana wings
- Steak quesadilla
- Nachos
Didn’t like the nachos that much but the rest are so yummy! I super love their sour cream tho hehe you’ll really get another one for sure. The tacos and quesadilla are so yummy hindi siya tinipid sa ingredients. The wings tastes good also just the right blend of sauce.
Overall would recommend this place!
This place is a hole in the wall with pretty good Mexican food. We went there twice, had burritos, lamb fajitas, lengua and pulled pork soft tacos, and wings. Will definitely come back again.
We tried the cheese and cheese jalapeño quesadillas. Tasty and yummy, served hot. Totally worth the wait. The steak 🌯 was also delicious. #chigano #burrito #quesadilla

Great food and excellent customer service! We booked them for my son's dedication and they didn't fail us. Every guest enjoyed their food. Very professional. They arrived at our venue 3 hours before the event started. Highly recommended.
This is my first time to eat at this resto in Antipolo. We had Nachos, Louisiana wings and my favorite California Burrito. Masarap yung food nila and ang ganda pa ng playlist nila. Its a nice place to chill pero if madaming tao it would be too crowded na kasi medyo maliit space. Still happy with the food, prices and staff.
I was planning to have my rest day but you know sometimes you can’t just ignore your friends. Traveled north to east just to try an unforgetful Mexican dishes. They are located on Second Floor, Okinari Arcade Building, L. Sumulong Memorial Circle, San Roque, Upper Antipolo. They are near Pinto Art Museum so add them to your itinerary for your lunch or snack time. It’s worth the travel, I swear guys. The place is very small it can only accommodate around 10pax. It’s a pet-friendly place because they have a cat in the stare named Taco.

Mexican Foods aren't that hard to find nowadays. With lots of option to choose from. You'll definitely get that sweet, savory and spicy taste you're looking for a Mex Food. Well, one restaurant that offered such is the Leon Authentic Mexican. It's located in Sumulong Highway Antipolo. Quite far isn't I know but the food they prepare is totally awesome.
This was a product of hardwork of two Mexican Food lovers, Ms. Anne and Sir Leon who happen to be partners in real in life, #RelationshipGoals . Anyway, Leon's goal is to satisfy our Mexican Food Cravings, and to make it happen, they see to it that spices are truly Mexican to which some are imported from Singapore. They're open from 12pm to 10pm although you can visit their Instagram Page @leonauthenticmexican to inquire.
Now about the food they served us with their known best sellers.
Carnitas Quesadillas - this is the combination of chicken, bell pepper, mexican cheese and cheddar cheese with their own sauce and salsa which is freshly prepped daily. Totally Good one for me!😍😍😍😍😍
Lemon and Herbs wings - this is a combination of their secret spices. I loved the presence of different when you tasted this. Although not slightly juicy.😍😍😍😍
Naked Burrito - a mixture of choice meat - chicken, carnitas or steak, tomatoes, corn, sweet beans, jalapeño, lettuce, cilantro and sour cream burrito poured on bed of mexican rice, not your usual burrito. 😍😍😍
Mexican Fries - your french fries made with real potatoes, drizzled with sour cream, cheese sauce, round beef, tomatoes, onions and jalapeños. I enjoyed this one. Perfect for sharing. 😍😍😍😍😍
Lamb California Beef Burrito -this burrito replaced rice with potato fries, you have an option of meat such as steak or chicken, ground lamb, sour cream, salsa, mexican cheese and cheddar cheese. Love this one and a heavy meal too!😍😍😍😍
Steak Fajitas - your steak fajitas with cream cheese, you'll definitely love this one. Don't forget to wrap it with pita. 😍😍😍😍😍
Those are just some of the foods we've tried they have others too. So next time you pass by Sumulong Highway, don't forget to drop by at their humble abode and taste it yourself.
This is an Antipolo find. Reasonable prices for the serving and quality. I thought there is no good enough Mexican restaurant in this area. Hope they keep it up and definitely will be back .
Leon is a small Mexican restaurant up in Antipolo but their dishes definitely do not disappoint. Aside from the usual burrito, quesadilla and taco, they also serve unique dishes like their California Burrito. This burrito has fries instead of rice. Their buffalo wings are really tasty with just enough spice to make it interesting. Leon's quesadillas are my favorite, especially the steak!
Leon serves their dishes freshly cooked so you have to wait a bit before you can eat. You can order drinks while you wait and even chat with the restaurant's friendly owners. Definitely a must try when you're in the area ⛰
Steak Burrito (P180)
Steak Quesadilla (P170)
Steak California Burrito (P200)
Carnitas Soft Taco (P130)
Buffalo Wings (P240)
Satisfied with food and service! Their Naked Steak Burrito is to die for!! Looking forward to try the whole menu 😁😁 pls make it more visible so that people will see the reastaurant
My NEW favorite Mexican food stop. It feels and tastes authentic. The price is affordable. They have variety. My only gripe is that it's not too visible when driving around. But other than that, I'm in love with the food here.
I always come back for their flavorful soft tacos and chalupa! Hindi tinipid sa ingredients :) They have reasonably priced food offerings and the place is neat. I always recommend this place to my friends who are craving for Mexican food :)
People who find themselves in Antipolo and are up for a food trip usually only have a handful of cafes as their options. With the area looking to be a potential food hotspot, couple Anna and Joseph (Antipolo natives) felt that their hometown is now ready for more diversity in food options. Hence the birth of LEON Authentic Mexican. It was borne out of the passion for Mexican food and the possibility to put Antipolo on the food map.
LEON sits on a corner of the second floor of Okinari Arcade - also where Sulok Cafe is. It’s a budding complex with other restaurants occupying it too. Going up to the place, we were greeted by a bold list of iconic and classic Mexican fare before crossing the threshold into the place. I guess it’s mostly what to expect from this joint. The deep grey of the walls comes in delightful contrast with the light finish of the wood furnishings. The modest space gets flooded with natural light as allowed by big windows. It's reminiscent of the industrial feel of the modern taquerias sprouting all over Metro Manila.
It’s exciting to find out how exactly this new player in the vicinity will fare through their food. With it being remote from food hot spots and being new, you can’t really help but have a prejudice. But then again, I was there to find out exactly what LEON would bring to diners. A sweating pitcher of their Mojito was placed on our table to get things started.
A plate of LEON’s Louisiana Wings (Php 180) arrived at our table. It may look intimidating (I mean hot & spicy) because of the generous deep red rub, but that’s all the Mexican herbs and spices for a tasty trip to Louisiana. Nice and tender, but they could have let the rub steep for a few more minutes to really let it get in there.
Quesadillas! LEON’s Cheese Quesadilla (Php 105) was served with salsa and sour cream. Its tortilla was burnt just right and the cheese melds gracefully with the sour cream and the salsa. I must say their homemade salsa is somewhere close to perfect - right amount of sharpness and crunchy vegetables that have a delightfully ripe overall taste.
We had a sampling of their Crunchy Taco Ground Beef (Php 75). This is their take on a Chalupa, which is an open-faced taco except with a fried tortilla as its base. Playful crisp as it goes along with the well-spiced beef and a heaping topping of lettuce. Don’t forget the sour cream!
Their Sizzling Fajita Steak looks very inviting. It comes with the sizzling steak on a hot plate and a serving of rolled up tortillas in another. Make sure to eat the steak with the fajita for the full experience! Tender steak with vegetables that caramelized from the heat brought together by the Mexican herbs and spices. We downed that with some more of ice cold mojito.
And then we had the Chicken Burrito (Php 135), which is one of my top picks. The thing with these iconic and classic dishes from other cuisines is that it’s either good or not. This one is surprisingly good. I noticed the turmeric in the mix that just brought all the ingredients home. Once you taste it for yourself you’ll know what I mean.
Anna admitted that a hindrance to people actually trying out their food was the common perception that Mexican food is uncomfortably spicy. But we all know that’s not the case. Restaurants like LEON opening in such a young food community is a step to make more and more Filipinos open to the wonderful world of global cuisine.
Now, you guys know which spot to hit when craving for some flavorful Mexican fare in Antipolo.
Everything is awesome. Burritos are authentic as they say it is. My girlfriend loves their soft tacos, and I always order the Burritos. The wings are also good. :)
THE BEST!
My boyfriend asked me na itry sa LEON Authentic Mexican kasi gusto nya tikman yung tacos tapos ako naghahanap lang ng maoorder and nakita ko yung Louisiana wings nila, wow feels like heaven kahit hndi ako mahilig sa spicy food naging favorite ko na sya SOBRA AS IN to the highest level, walang araw na hindi ako nagcacrave sa wings na yun and yung Quesadillas masarap din 😊
Been here several times and it just keeps getting better! Everything great here so far! Tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas and most importantly, they got ice cold beer!! And cheap too!!

A cheap thrill, they serve the best Mexican food in Antipolo. Everything on their menu is a must try. You won't regret paying for a small price, your taste buds would rejoice.
Good(actually better)mexican resto within Antipolo. Great food choices and can't wait to try them all out. The owners are accomodating as well. Can't wait for the new food items that they will roll out soon.
Food and service was amazing. I usually get stomach upsets when eating Mexican food, but this one is an exemption. Spices are well balanced and the servings are just right. Will definitely come back for more.
Try:
